New Zealand based creative agency was looking for a freelance retoucher to process photos of farm equipment for the world famous brand John Deere. Every month the photographer took a series of shots, which needed to be professionally post-processed for further use in promotional materials. As most of the tasks required prompt processing, the agency was looking for a reliable person who can work quickly and efficiently.
Original photos required a significant amount of alterations: from color correction, cleaning the product from dirt, removing glare from flash and reflections, to adjusting the colors according to corporate style. Some pictures needed removal of unnecessary objects (e.g. dry branches and trees), cleaning the grass, replacing the background and sky. The outcome of complex processing was expected to look natural, with no visible traces of retouching — a task only an experienced retoucher can tackle.
After receiving the original photos in raw format, supported by the list of desired corrections for each image, Lev proceeded with the post-production using a high-end photo processing method. The images were decomposed into several layers in Adobe Photoshop to allow retouching without losing the quality and maintaining natural texture and color. The same method was used to clear out unwanted elements. To adjust the color, PANTONE palette was used in accordance with the company's brand book. Each image was treated using the Photoshop tools to optimize working time and deliver the task with the highest quality.
During 2 years of collaboration, Lev provided high-quality processing services, as well as strict adherence to the deadlines, making the cooperation efficient and winning the trust of the agency and the client.
